The chassis and cooling are a bit thin, so Asus had to limit the TDP in the GPU. I forget. 80W? Do your research. I found it was underperforming even 3060 laptops that had higher TDP GPU.
I flashed the GPU bios to unlock better performance. It worked for gaming, but it failed under stress testing. So I took it back and bought an MSI model that feeds more power to the 3070
Sounds like the same/similar to what I had.
I was able to find various bios files from other Asus laptops to unlock higher TDP. It can work if you're comfortable with that sort of thing. YMMV.
