This is the essential. This one is the newer version of the On-The-Go with the big JBL logo. I think you're talking about the Encore?

I bought this years ago open box at Best buy for the same price. They actually exchanged for a new one because there was a big dent on the speaker. I'm so tempted to buy a second one to pair together but I honestly don't need it. It's so loud with just one.

I was just looking for this and other options and once again SD Comes through will a killer deal. I was about ready to get the partybox 110 with 2 mics for almost $500 which would have been overkill for what I needed. So this fits the budget perfectly.

Shame it doesn't come with two mics out of the box. Anyone know if you can connect a second mic? If they both work wirelessly without an adapter? Didn't see an obvious answer on the product page.

I bought this on a previous deal and was wondering the same thing. From what I can tell, I think it'll auto connect to any JBL microphone that you turn on within range. I just bought a second set to pair the speakers. I'll test the mics when I get the new set.

I bought separate wireless JBL mics and they come with an adapter you need to plugin to the jack. It has a second jack for a guitar if you want to plug it in. The sound is great and plenty of karaoke songs from different eras are available on YouTube. Having a good sound system really helps too.

Yep. I think that microphone that comes with the speaker is hard coded into just that speaker. You cannot add any other wireless microphone, unless the ones with the adapter. JBL is selling a pair of wireless microphones with adapter (refurbished) for $50.
