This is the essential. This one is the newer version of the On-The-Go with the big JBL logo. I think you're talking about the Encore?

Yep. I think that microphone that comes with the speaker is hard coded into just that speaker. You cannot add any other wireless microphone, unless the ones with the adapter. JBL is selling a pair of wireless microphones with adapter (refurbished) for $50.

The speaker looks like it has two holders for microphones. This may be able to have 2 mics.

This video shows two mics included. So maybe if you can find another you can add it.

It can pair up to two mics. If you look up JBL microphones there was a deal for 2 microphones with adapters. Technically with the adapter you can pair 3 mics but the 3rd mic for whatever reason has a much lower volume but 2 will pair just fine. I have this unit with 2 mics paired and the 3rd one sits there as a backup.

I bought separate wireless JBL mics and they come with an adapter you need to plugin to the jack. It has a second jack for a guitar if you want to plug it in. The sound is great and plenty of karaoke songs from different eras are available on YouTube. Having a good sound system really helps too.
If it's that 2 pack refurbished from JBL for 50, you can actually pair it w/o the adapter. One mic and the adapter just sit in a box as a backup. 3 mics work but no matter how you pair them up, the 3rd mic is at a very low volume so two mics is the max for best performance.

Link for the Mics? So this 2 pack set can pair without using the hardwire adapter?

Thanks for the info!!

Turn on that new mic, turn on the speaker. Don't turn on the original mic. It should auto pair
