No luck for me - keep getting order cancelled.
No other nearby stores even let me add to cart.

Ram is soldered and not upgradable.

Display is typical meh, but very worth it at this price.

Happy hunting!

You sure about the 2 replaceable ram slots? The specs say LPDDR5 so that implies it's soldered. Also saw the 16gb ram version of this laptop on the HP site and the Q and A says it's not upgrade-able.

Damn, you're right. Thought I saw 16-ag0xxx was SODIMM, but on second look, nope.

Cool. Thanks for taking a second look and for the deal! Really nice chip and screen size for the price but being stuck at 8gb hurts.

Yeah it's honestly baffling to put this kind of specs with 8 GBs soldered. Like... 16 and 20 bucks higher and it crushes everything in it's price class.

I literally got a Dell Inspiron 16" laptop in yesterday. It had 8gb of ram pre-installed (2 - 4gb sticks) so it was running in dual channel but it really lagged.

I use an external 4k UHD monitor along with the built-in laptop screen (1080p)

I watch youtubeTV and youtube along with Chrome browsing maybe 4-6 tabs open.

8gb absoloutely sucks. System was lagging and glitchy.

BUT I knew the model I purchased had 2 so-dimm slots for user upgradeable ram so I stuck 16gb of ram in it and now its running wayyy smoother.

I've got 32gb on the way from Amazon to be delivered today.

8gb soldered ram is a travesty on any mid-tier laptop today.

My $0.02

Pretty cheap if you're looking for a 780M onboard GPU which is very good for older AAA games and even some newer games.

Personally waiting for one of the mini computers with 780m or higher onboard for around this price.

May I ask which store your address is? None of the stores near me work.

No upgrade slots? Seriously? On a new machine?
