Stayed at a place in the middle of the 'golden circle' that was about ~$180 a night.
Enough daylight to see a good amount of sights in a day, but the daylight hours quickly drop off later into October and winter.
Weather is a gamble and wind is constant (easily 70+ mph gusts at Reynisfjara Beach). But when it was clear, it was nice when properly layered. Just be sure to pack a waterproof exterior layer as well (head to toe).

I'll copy my own comment from the New York deal a couple days ago: Not smoking, but decent.
Also $427 nonstop from Nashville (BNA) around the same timeframe -- that's one of their newer hubs. I suspect some of the others are in the same range (MSP, BOS, etc; as this update confirms!)
Unless you're super into geology and outdoors/glaciers, personally I'd pass on Iceland as a destination and maybe just use it as a free 1-2 day stopover en route to Europe. Hit Reykjavik and the Golden Circle for the quick overview. It's very expensive and unless you rent a car and spend 2 weeks there, it's tricky to get around. I still have a few friends from there, but all are expats now due to job reasons.
Also I want to go to UK as well.
How can I make it to happen?
