RainX is a game changer! I even put it on my rental cars. Rain just beads and falls right off your window. 10000X easier to see during a rain shower.
This bottle isn't designed to CLEAN the glass, it applies the repellant, so there is a difference.
How much repellant are you getting in the spray bottle vs this one? Who knows.

From my one-time use of the spray bottle years ago, I think this one is more effective.
Every time I see a comment like this, it's because someone doesn't follow directions. Don't get all bent. Just clean your windshield thoroughly first. I recommend this.

Then, apply Rain X per directions.

Same price I bought in late March. I also bought the Anti-fog for the interior side. Great combo, less factors to impede my vision.

What is the difference between this and the spray bottle? Same contents or different - this is 3.5oz and the spray bottle is 16 oz (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rain-x...W/19487527) for about twice the price. What am I missing? So about 4.5x the product for 2x the price...

Ordered it online for store pickup, Walmart substituted the 16 ounce spray bottle. This one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rain-x...=%2Fsearch Cheaper product of dumroo post, I declined. Not sure what the differences are between dumroo's and this substitution except this is normally $4.97 not a slick deal.

Agreed. I always buy the 16oz spray bottle and it works just like the old squirt bottle. I think it is the same product inside. Why would you pay 3.26 for 3.5oz when you can get 16oz for 6.87?

This bottle isn't designed to CLEAN the glass, it applies the repellant, so there is a difference.
How much repellant are you getting in the spray bottle vs this one? Who knows.

From my one-time use of the spray bottle years ago, I think this one is more effective.

Who said it cleans it? Pretty sure both spray and this say you need to clean before. I have had both spray and this and both are about the same. Just comes down to cost for me.

There isn't a difference in the product. The one you reference is just in a spray bottle and a much better deal. That bottle is NOT the same as the 2 in 1 that someone else mentions, so both are just repellent. I stopped buying this one and switched to the spray.

I used this stuff about 15 years ago and for whatever reason the windshield eventually clouded up into the most god awful mess I've ever seen. I literally had to scrape it with a razor blade and mineral spirits to get the mess off, and it took a LONG time and many attempts before it disappeared completely. I've been afraid to use this ever since that happened.

How long does the anti-fog last? I'm forever wiping down the windshield with a microfiber cloth.

There is some confusion as there's 12 oz and 16 oz spray bottles of 2 types, one being rain-x with a glass cleaner as a mixture and one being solely rain-x original formulation (no glass cleaner in the mix).
According to the MSDS sheets, the 12 oz and 16 oz spray bottles that says "Original Glass Water Repellant" is the exact same product as the small 3.5 oz squeeze bottle that also says "Original Glass Water Repellant".

Walmart is showing the 12 oz spray bottle for $6, so that's the far better deal for price per ounce.
I personally look for what I have found to be a far better and longer lasting glass water repellant than Rain-X, which is Aquapel.
Aquapel isn't as easy to find as Rain-X, but well worth it, imo. Aquapel was the true original glass water repellant.

i had similar experience with Rain x windshield fluid. after 2 to 3 days of using the windshield fluid, I would not be able to see against the sun. There was just too much glare. It took me couple of tries to figure out what was going on that all of a sudden my windshield would get all glared up within few days of washing it.

Same experience. This is a crap product that does the opposite of what it is supposed to do.
When I applied strictly following the directions, it all clouded up, and my windshield had a haze all over. Night driving, especially in rain, was a nightmare.
I have never touched it ever since.
