I can help you save your money and get your wish back. The mop sucks. It just pushes muddy water around. You would have to change the pad every 2-3 minutes to remotely come close to the effect of mopping your floor. By the time you bend over that many times for a normal size room you could have just mopped the floor and the outcome would be far superior. Just my two cents after owning the M6 for a few years.

I had an i3 before recently upgrading to a roborock q revo. There's a reason why these older models are so discounted, they are severely outclassed by the current offerings. I would not recommend even at this price

This is currently $444 on Amazon with 3.9 ratings on 33k reviews.

Customers give mixed feedback about the robotic vacuum's functionality, with some saying it does an awesome job while others report it stops working properly. The cleaning ability and suction performance receive mixed reviews - while it cleans well, customers note it rarely empties itself, and one customer mentions it struggles with crunchy debris. The mapping feature receives mixed reactions, with some praising the super accurate floorplan map while others find it truly bad. Customers find the vacuum easy to use and consider it worth the money, though some find it not worth the effort. The device is noisy, particularly during emptying, and customers report it gets stuck frequently, especially under furniture.

Price is slick for sure. But not the best product out there.

No LIDAR is junk, not a deal. Don't waste your money on a 'dumb' robot. Are bots just posting comments now?
Nah. They actually map your floor and you can name all the rooms. I have the i7 and it works great. LiDAR is better but these are not dumb robots and randomly bump into diff.

Do any of these have lidar? Or are they just the traditional dumb robots that map a room by bumping into everything?
They are very dumb. I've owned both. The i3 is still effective if you don't expect it to be "smart". The M6 is VERY dumb to the point I would avoid it entirely.

The i7 has a camera. It's still severely outclassed by LiDAR units, but it's a step above this i3 that does not have a camera, and is in fact a dumb robot that physically bumps things to make a map.

Owned the i9+ and Braava mop before. Complete garbage. Buy Roborock and thank me later. This shit will bump/scratch your cherished furniture like its none of their business and all the while not make your home cleaner. Trump has it all wrong man. Chinese tech is just better.

Damn and I thought $400 was a steal when I got this in November 2024. Shame I can't return it and rebuy for half price...

i3 doesn't have lidar so navigation is kinda dumb. Not great for carpets. Ok for the price I guess

Own two, one is auto empty. Both were bought from amazon warehouse. The auto empty was brand new. I only paid $165 in total for both of them. They do a decent job but bump into everything. The CEO recently said there is "substantial doubt about the company's ability to continue." Stock is trading around $2. Bankruptcy this year and some company will buy remaining assets.

iRobot vacuums are absolute trash. I recently trashed my i7+ and i3+ because there was ALWAYS a problem with them. It was such a rare event to get a popup on my phone that they successfully completed a job, and I always maintained them both well. Do yourself a favor and skip these, no matter how good the deal seems.

I am bummed to learn about iRobot's impending bankruptcy. I have been using these vacuums since the very early models. In fact, we have three of them running every day to clean up after two big dogs. They do require a bit of maintenance - and they can be frustrating at times - but overall they do the job. Now I guess I'll look for a slickdeal on Roborock or Eufy or whatever other brand is recommended. Are there any reasonably priced models that work well?

I'm surprised seeing all these comments with people with issues with their iRobots. FWIW you DO need to maintain them - clean the rollers, the front wheel, the HEPA filter, change the bag, etc. If you don't keep up with maintenance items then you'll quickly begin having issues. The manual very clearly says it can't cross floor thresholds and says you need to pick up debris from the floor before running the vacuum. I don't use the braava mop much but I've two i3+ for several years now and haven't had a single serious problem other than one time where one of them decided to continuously bang against a door and scared everyone in the house a bit.
