If you want that thumping bass like beats models before these, these are going to be a pretty big let down. But if you like a more evenly blanced sound these are great. Bass is still good and low just don't "bump & thump" like before.
Overall volume is pretty low on these too. I feel like Apple purposly limited the maximum volume to 75% of previous models so they can "offer" a new model with "better all day battery life"
but in essence these at 100% volume are like the older models at 75% volume these just aren't nearly as loud. But I'm a little older and don't jam my headphones like I used to so the lower volume doesn't necessarily bother me. But its definitely noticable.
