They know if they go above fhd with 12gb vram, it'll suffer 😅.

I'm scared to go above 1080p, been using it since 2008 and know that once I bump it up I'll never be able to go back. Ignorance is bliss

It wouldn't be MSI if the specs weren't a mishmash of spare parts jammed into a garbage machine and listed at a price attractive enough to fool unsuspecting buyers 😂

I mean, I get it, it's pretty much what you would get if you don't wanna get into a desktop(terrible screen), but come on, screens are dirt cheap nowadays, there's really no reason for this 1080 45% ntsc crap.

I mean at first glance this seems quite tempting, what is the wattage for the GPU like?

This site appears to suggest it's a reasonable 140W: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Vector...cification

Is the 5070 ti laptop GPU roughly comparable to the 4080 laptop GPU?

What is that screen configuration? Atleast at the minimum provide a 100% srgb screen?

Might be worth it to just swap the higher-spec'ed variant of this machine lol

The screen is 2560 x 1600: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Vector-16-HX-AI-A2XWX

That said, you definitely want to upgrade the storage and RAM so the $500 saved isn't all that much when you factor in those.

That's preferrable. Least amount of storage and RAM reduces price a lot.
Then you go upgrade to better stuff on the cheap.
