This is sort of a common misconception. Succulents require deep and thorough watering when they need it, you can just go longer between periods between.

Watering them with a few drops just makes for more work. Better to wait till they show signs (deflated or wrinkled looking) and then really soak them - assuming drainage holes and appropriate soil. That's more similar to how they see water in nature.

The 18 pack I got from Menards last year do a lot better in my north facing windows, that only get direct sunlight for a couple hours in the mornings, than the ones in my southern facing windows that get direct sunlight most of the day. Use succulent/cactus soil when transplanting them, and not potting soil so they drain properly.

Mine look great when they arrived and I've put them outside in a well-draining pot. They do very well outdoors and some I bought last year even did really well over the winter when I brought them inside.

I didnt get "pairs of two". I got 5 varieties of 4 each. Some seemed healthy. Some were falling apart. Some of the soil was moist, some completely dry. t seems like a mixed bag with these guys. Also, the plants I received looked nothing like the ones pictured i the Amazon reviews... Much smaller and less healthy looking. We shall see if they grow.

Most (well many at least) plants do best with this practice. Dont water them until they need it, but then soak the crap out of them. You need at least semi decent drainage tho or roots will rot.

Ive gotten this type of package before. They all came alive and even took off during the summer, but then due to my negligence they all died when it froze for a few days and I didnt cover them.

Also a heads up.. they are SMALL.
