26 bucks for 4000+ sq feet of wifi is still pretty decent
What's the real world benefit of newer standards? Bigger numbers, but most households aren't taking advantage of these upgrades. This is a great deal for most people.
+1000 to this. Had these and they constantly died.

Just get some refurb Eeros from Amazon (what I ended up doing) which are sorta close to this price point for a single unit, and you'll never have to think about your wifi again

(PS not an ad for them, just a longtime Eero user/fan)

Dont even bother buying e-waste when wifi 6/6e/7 mesh systems are here and some sub $100 already brandnew.

This is great if you want to setup an isolated IoT network if your" main one does not, so you can keep the spies on the e-waste. Now some of the newer mesh systems support, but most don't have proper isolation, mac filtering, or VLANs/ This is a cheap solution.

Picked this up for a family member with an older setup—big upgrade for basic streaming and everyday use. Not top-tier tech, but at $27 for a 3-pack, it's hard to beat for smaller homes or as a budget-friendly mesh starter. Setup can be a bit clunky, but once it's running, it does the job. Definitely a good pick if you're not chasing WiFi 6.

I used these for around 4 years, I had one node die after about 3 years but my house wasn't big enough to need 3 so I did with 2 until I recently upgraded to linksys 6E. I'm 99% sure these are OpenWRT compatible and the speeds will be 100% adequate if your internet speed demands are less than 100-ish mbps.

Even if these were FREE it would not be worth the hassle. Awful product and I am sorry I own these. Don't take my word for it, read the thousands of 1 star reviews on google play explaining how the app is total trash and doesn't let you configure these.... and when/if you did get them configured, your coverage is spotty and unreliable.

Save yourself the headache

these look like the much slower cousin of what I own which are just amazing:
Linksys LN1301-MX4200_MX4300_MX4301_AX4200 ; paid $20 brand new for each node.

These are using 9W power each when idle, so roughly cost $30 a year to run. Not a biggie but my Omada AP uses less than half of that.
