Replaced a TP-Link router and an access point with just this router and I'm getting whole house coverage in a 2,200 sqft colonial (basement to 2nd floor) without the need of an access point. Easy to add SQM, Ad blocking, and vpn. Capable of much more but I'm happy with my simple setup, wifi is strong and stable and blufferboat is vastly improved.

Best thing you can ever do to your local network is learn openWRT and deploy it. DO not rely on other companies to give you support after so many years when you can do it yourself.

I already ordered this TP-link WiFi 7 for a deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18286789-prime-visa-cardholders-tp-link-dual-band-be3600-wi-fi-7-router-archer-be230-79-20-25-back-on-prime-visa-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch
$79.20 + Earn 25% Back

But this GL.iNet GL-MT6000 gets such good reviews, and appears to get great coverage that I think I'll try it first.

Works great when it does, although it lacks activity lights. Mine died within 2 weeks and I returned it and didn't get another. Definitely buy with an extended warranty credit card if you go for it.

I've had this since it launched. I run a VPN on it and it can get to around 975Mbps through the VPN. That means all of my house's Internet traffic goes through the VPN. That is amazing and very few routers out there can match that speed. This thing can also run Tailscale natively so you can access your home network from anywhere. You could also route all your devices through your homes Internet connection if you work from home but do not want to actually be home.

Ordered this few months ago based on a suggestion in a router thread. Great purchase, have had zero issues with internet. Super easy setup, software even has an auto restart feature.

Good feature for this price. It's not much of an upgrade to ASUS GT-AX6000, is it?

Confirmed - same story here. Able to replace a mesh setup with this single unit. I have it setup to provide whole-network wireguard VPN that runs incredibly quickly and it's been rock solid.

The indicator lights work great for me, and you can schedule in the interface what times you want them visible if that's important to you.

A few months ago, this was $118 on sale. Great product, not the lowest discount, but not bad.

I've been a diehard Asus fan for 10+ years, and still wholeheartedly recommend their hardware. However, I've had this since it came out 2+ years ago and it has been the most rock solid and best performing WiFi router I've ever had. It worked well with OpenWRT as well.

Works great at first but requires reboot after x days because devices cannot connect to wifi anymore.

Are you guys using OpenWRT or the stock Glinet firmware that comes with it ? Also, Flint 3 is coming soon.

I've been using stock firmware. Haven't had to reboot it at all in the 3 months I've had it.

I just had this delivered yesterday and now its ~$10 cheaper. Anyhow setup was pretty simple, and wasn't too hard to get what I wanted with one ssid on vpn and another without vpn. I used the stock firmware - just updated it.

Any resources you can share to achieve this? I have a Beryl AX to use on the road. Thanks in advance.
