Those Target sales were Pixel 8/8a, they must be clearing out old stock. This is the Pixel 9 which is the current generation.

This is the lowest price officially from Google Store for an unlocked version. I don't recall encountering a $499 deal for the unlocked version before, it might be some carrier deal if so.
