I bought one of these at Ace Hardware a few weeks ago. It sounds gimmicky, but the 2x speed is great. I really like it

I would agree that it is cool. But these are very heavy and honestly there are so few applications for the 2x speed that I almost never use this driver. If I need speed I grab my cordless driver. Maybe keep it your car/boat for emergency use.

I have used it almost constantly for electrical work etc. There are plenty of uses where I don't want to drive a machine screw with a drill
