I purchased the Ryobi from home Depot and it was the most worthless $54 piece of crap ever. I can't believe these vacuums make it to market with such horrific suction that you instantly want to return them

Worse that the Ryobi one? Was thinking of grabbing one to grab cat litter/cat food on my kitchen floor

The dewalt one isn't bad, especially since I already own the battery system.

Honestly, I stick to Shark and Dyson anymore.

I have two of these (got them for around $10/ea a couple of years ago). They are fantastic for cleaning up cat litter and other small messes (after clipping the cats nails for instance).

I have also heard that this model isn't good. For reference though, I've had the "BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Cordless Handheld Vacuum, Home and Car Vacuum (HHVI315JO42)" model for 5 years and it's been great.

I got this for $15 and it sucks. It doesn't suck up anything. Save your money and get something else.

What's a good hand vacuum if this isn't it?

Doesn't have enough suction to do anything. Mine went straight to the landfill after a couple uses. You're better off buying a good broom or mini brush and dustpan.
