I got this set 6 months ago and immediately applied a coating of mineral oil (medical grade - a couple bucks from Target) to prevent splitting/warping. You're supposed to do it regularly but I haven't since and they're fine even with heavy use. Always wash both sides by hand after using to prevent splitting/warping.

Says hand wash only in description - Someone inevitably asks, can these go in the dishwasher.

Yeah maybe not needed but tons of reviews say splitting/warping (not just for this brand but others as well) and I wonder if people oiled them. The bottle from Target is huge is probably a lifetime supply for my boards for just a couple bucks, I've shared some with neighbors too.

You must be in a dry climate. Mine lasted good 6 years before splitting. Were used in a fireplace as the last hooray. Loved them so getting another set.

Super thin! I bought these several months ago and returned. They are less than 1/2" thick. That's not mentioned any where in the product description. Compare the weight of this three pack against other cutting board sets and it's obvious. These will not last very long imo.

Bamboo cutting boards can be quite hard on knife blades. Bamboo is a very dense and hard material, which can cause knives to dull more quickly compared to softer cutting board materials like wood. The high silica content in bamboo contributes to its hardness, making it similar to cutting on glass or ceramic.

I wanted small boards because most of the time I don't need a big board, these fit the bill for making most things for just 2 ppl. I've put 3 layers of board conditioner oil on it and its still soaking it all up. I didn't realize i'd want drip grooves but its never been that much of an issue if I needed that i'll just pull out the bigger board. Small boards don't have to be that thick, thats the entire point of grabbing a small board its light and doesn't need a beating, don't expect to take a butcher knife to it.
