I love Lodge, I have dozens of lodge pans and a solid assortment of vintage pans that all see use.
Do not bother with a grill pan. They are terrible to cook with, difficult to clean even with the Lodge scraper tool, and generally create a lot of smoke when cooking.

The 12" Bakers Skillet would be much more versatile, and I'm not sure when I'd use a grill skillet on a grill.

Yeah, these are only good for getting grilled marks. But grilling/searing meat is best with a regular skillet/pan

Agree 100%. Cleaning these are a nightmare. These are only for show of grill marks.

Don't think of meat for a grill pan, as mentioned above, unless it's shrimp.
Think about veggies, bread and other sides that look cool with marks and taste better with some char.
We often lightly steam asparagus and then grill it on the lodge 10".
warm bruschetta is also nice with a char.
