Check out this review for the Reolink [youtu.be]
I have the Eufy 2k Floodcamera and want to switch. The reolink is very appealing to me right now because I want to self host and they also allow sd cards. I gotta do some more digging to make sure its what I want but the eufy is limited for my needs. It doesnt need a subscription though which is good but doesnt allow an sd card

So the current one doesn't have lights? Also what does it connect to for recording? I have a synology NAS and a z wave alarm system... can this integrate with either? Also is wifi the only option or is hard wired better? Thanks
Can this even record to a server or nvr?

The newer ones do have lights, just built in different, and its enough to walk around my back yard at night.

The duo 3 gets worse ratings than the older one because the image is noticeably shorter (height) and the image is not any better. "The hook up" on YouTube reviews all Reolink camera and is not sponsored. He no frills but very extensive testing on these and many other things.
It can integrate with Home Assistant, which I've done, but I haven't enabled the automation that improves the light duration when it triggers. Right now my least favorite out of the box setting is that duration, which is pretty quick to turn off after detection motion. A minor issue overall...
Another minor design concern for external power - hard to find a way to power if you're not using POE and don't want a "wall wart" power adapter hanging out. I'm trying to find a hard wired 120vac to 12vdc adapter that will supply the 1.7a required power and still fit inside a small box. If you've got a way to get POE there, great - wired will always be better/faster connections and kill two birds with one stone (wire).
Overall - 4.5 stars. Solid design and execution, reliable.
