What....
not saying it isn't possible, but zero water has been around for almost 25 years in my own experience. In that time, Brita, pur and others have tried to enter that market but have yet to ever have a product that competes well with this. to switch filter designs would be a big deal.
I do believe they have a different filter line, one that actually competes at the lower end of the "filter" spectrum that is mostly for taste improvement. the filters are not compatible, and they are meant to compete with the britas of the world.
We use this not to drink but more so as an alternative to distilled water for refilling our humidifier to prevent white powder, the ultrasonic cleaner for nightguards, nose irrigator, sleep apnea machine, and watering plants that are picky with their water. Lots of other use cases! We tried a distiller but it just took too much energy and time.
