I love Costco, but I wouldn't touch these again with a 100 foot pole. 3 out of 3 failed. Got tired of RMAing to SanDisk (ROYAL PITA!) so I took the loss.

With Sandisks labelling/branding, I can't prove that the drives in this deal are the drives in this article, but then again I can't disprove it, so I'll just stay away:

FWIW - I ran the serial number on Sandisk's firmware page and my drive did not require a firmware update.

Picked one up last month at Costco for $160 but returned it a week later after reading about the problems with it. Ended up getting the 4GB Samsung T5 EVO for $20 more (w/ edu acct) instead and it incl a 256GB Micro SDXC.
