I personally dislike this style because it's going to fall in and plug up the drain when you don't want it to. I get some people might like it but, I like having a separate strainer and separate stopper

Can confirm. I have a similar one in my other sink and it falls in and plug up the drain all the time

Good for apartment complexes, I guess. Lots of units where the residents move out and the strainer + garbage disposal covers are missing 90% of the time.
Could be because the managers buy these cheap ones, if we're being honest.

My preferred one is the Oneida from walmart, but recently they stop selling it so I'm not sure what to point you to. mesh strainers tend to clog up pretty easily, you want one that can hold a sufficient amount of food particles that you can dump and clean easily is all. I like the stainless steel ones, but I haven't figured out which one to replace what I was using with.

I personally like this style for my kitchen sink. It's never fallen into my sink and plugged any thing. Do you not understand how to use these?

This is a nice one I have been using for years.
