It can do 50w+50w two laptops setup.
This cable has the guts of a multi-port charger in it, in terms of how it feeds power to the two ports. I am currently using this cable (eBay $18 straight from the manufacturer, via a Slickdeal months ago) with a single 45w (Anker?) charger, an Apple Macbook Pro, and an Apple VisionPro. It's super handy to not need two ports on a charger, and to not need two chargers ... I'm sitting outside on my porch and have all the power delivery that I need.

FWIW I love this thing but if you don't need exactly two things being powered by exactly one single-port power supply, then this is probably NOT for you

But for travel, it's useful. For airplanes, it's useful. For hotels, it's useful. For the Apple Vision Pro (if you're using it with an Apple notebook), it's super useful.

It's usually around $30-25 but it does goes on sale for $18-25.

This is 100% true. If you don't need it, then you don't need it. I love this thing, but I travel a lot and I need to power multiple devices on a plane where I get at most one outlet and the prongs on my charger won't stay in. The Baseus 65w flat charger has a UK plug attachment that solves the "prongs falling out" problem and this cable solves the "power to the MBP and VisionPro at the same time" problem, plus I have the USB-A for a phone if I need it.

Additional info: I use a USB C female-to-female adapter, a short coiled USB C cable, and a USB C to Magsafe 3 adpter to attach this to the MBP, something like these things:

Might be a stupid question but does anyone know if this cable supports any kind of data transfer? Specific scenario I am looking for is running one line to a webcam and the second to power a key light mounted to the top of a monitor. Would be nice to one have 1 cable for cleaning up the cable management.
Edit: I found my answer and for anyone else interested appears it can handle data with a caveat, it can only handle one of the devices using data which would work in my situation if not for the USB 2.0 speed cap of 480mbs. So for anyone else in a similar situation to me this seems like a great solution if you can work with that limitation.

Looks like your standard 480Mbps. "First device connected" is the only one allowed to transfer data so not sure how that would work for you. Sure you can connect the camera first but I don't know if restarting or shutting down would jack that up. This is probably a question for Anker. You should be able to contact them through the amazon page.

Only the first device that is connected will get data transfer the next device gets power only

Amazon listing says 480 Mbps per second and the first device connected can transfer data.

This seems to be normal price. Not sure why it's marked as slick…

you can get a whole new charger for $19.99. For charging smaller devices you can just plug them directly into a computer (15W with usb c)...

This thing would have been way more useful if it worked in the opposite direction: two usb-c power sources powering one usb c device.
If it did that, it would make the price worth it. But it doesn't, and $20 is too much to pay for the "convenience" of having one less usb-c cable to carry.

I've got one of these by a different brand, but even though they seem like a good idea to charge multiple devices, be aware the cords after they separate are much shorter than some of the pictures look. It's almost impossible to use 1 of the devices if you're charging 2 at the same time, because they need to be close together.
