I was just thinking this too.. like man I remember hitting taco bell at 1am and getting a whole bag of food for $6.. now a damn burrito alone is $6..
Only way left to have affordable fastfood is through using the app. Burger King can get duos deal which is 2 original chicken sandwich for $5 then combine with free any size fries app offer. Carl's Jr sign up for a new account (they only verify email, use a throwaway) and get a quadruple burger of your choice for the cost of an additional patty with welcome offer. Taco Bell gives a free value menu item for signing up but also has value boxes that are not available in person. $5 and $7 build your own. subway usually has b1g1 footling deals. combine with discounted gift cards from Costco and the out of pocket price can get down to $5 a footlong.

Did you get emails about both credits yet?

Received one. The second is a physical card so guessing I'll get that when the physical card shows up

So $50 for taco bell and then $7.50 for toilet paper on Amazon?

Switch to a Bidet. Trust me, you'll never go back to toilet paper. Somehow American companies convinced us that smearing poop in our own crack is more hygienic than washing it out with water. I've never seen anyone wipe vomit off their arm with a piece of paper.

Have to stick to the Tuesday drops and cravings menu.

Even the tuesday drops are absolute garbage now. Theyre also usually in lesser quantities too, limited to usually 10-20k redemptions which go absurdly fast.

How many people are you watching vomit on their arms then subsequently wipe? Are you a bartender at a local grungy dive bar?

Taco Bell is wildly overpriced now. I couldn't believe my eyes the last time I was there. Practically charged me $8 for two soft taco supremes. Flock that.
which fastfood chain isnt overpriced nowaday? an honest question. still looking for an affordable food...

My usual go-to order is two chicken chalupas. Think it's up to like $13 for two. What's strange is I found that ordering it as a combo (with a regular taco and a drink) is about $2 cheaper than buying them on their own.

It's called the Number 2 combo on the menu for a reason!

They've all gone up so much it's a wash. Comparatively, using the apps of course, McDonalds can be solid. Where I used to live had an ever-running buy 1 get one for a dollar Big Macs, which led to them being about $3 a piece which isn't a terrible deal.

Jack in the Box and Wendy's are hit and miss, but sometimes have good deals.

BK has an everrunning 20% discount for WM+ members, so it takes a little of the sting out.

It's a shame kids today don't have an equivalent of the 'taco bell of yesterday' most of us had - cheap food you knew wasn't healthy and may not even be real food, but filled you up and tasted decent enough.

The best I came up with in totality is buying BK gift cards when they are on sale for 15 or 20% off, then using that to pay with the 20% off offer. Brings a $10 total down to $6.40.

Download the Taco Bell app and take advantage of their $5.00 "Build Your Own Luxe Cravings Box"
  • CHOOSE 1 SPECIALTY ITEM
  • CHOOSE 1 TACO OR BURRITO
  • CHOOSE 1 SIDE ITEM
  • CHOOSE 1 A DRINK
Again, $5 where I live and it been this price for a couple of years! An APP exclusive.

thanks. bks isnt bad if you get it to work. need to buy a walmart+ membership which isnt cheap and i dont really need it. i dont see bk giftcards onsale that often anymore. missed the last dollar general deal on them and samsclub dont really sell them at big discount anymore. if things getting worse, i will go with this walamrt+ route just for the 20% off at bk.

Strange. Mine says "Redeemed" even though I haven't bought it before.

Redeemed means the promo code is saved/attached to your account -- you still need to make the actual GC purchase in order to get the promo credit

Separate promo for digital GC vs physical GC so save both -- limit one of each

If you use desktop/laptop browser you should see promo credit message during checkout -- might not show properly in app

I actually mistyped but SD is being SD again and I can't edit.

It's 25% off for WM+. So in my original example, assuming you got the DG 20% deal, it would take a $10 order to less.

$10 - $2.50 WM+ = 7.50

20% off $7.50 is exactly $6.00. Effectively 40% off.

Yep, the days of cheap fast food are long gone. I regularly see $40-$50 orders on the screen at TB, after the person has pulled away in the drive thru.

I remember Burger King running 2 burgers, 2 fries, for $2 .. I survived on those for a long time 😔 I'd be okay with just the $1 or $2 whopper Wednesdays at this point. Hell I'd take even just a few years ago the $4 meal deals happily. Those days are long gone. The day the McChicken wasn't $1 anymore was the day the music died. Blah.
