To dip your toes into 3d printing, yes. Have one.

My ender sits in on the shelf, while my two Bambus run nearly nonstop.

Don't do it, unless you want a printer maintenance and upgrade hobby.
If you want a tool that creates objects, get something modern, like a Bambu.

Maybe with the regular Ender 3 but this newer version is pretty much plug and play.

I wouldn't buy a bed slinger 3d printer in 2025 when coreXY are now plentiful and almost as cheap (see recent FP deals on creality K1, flashforge 5m, and the elegoo centauri carbon)

Loving my new Kobra S1! With coupons it was something like $320 after tax on AliExpress.

I don't think this is true for the reason I think you mean.

I've read very mixed things about Creality refurb printers. I bought an Ender 3 S1 Pro listed as "for parts" for $70 from Creality. That printer was new in box, unopened. However, plenty of people here said they received "refurbished" printers that had broken parts.

So if you get a good one, the Ender 3V3 SE is generally plug and play. However, it's not a networked printer and you will need to learn to use a slicer.

Skip this deal and spend a few bucks more and the the v3 KE it basically has evalery upgrade you would do to a SE. I own both by the way.

Get the Bambu A1 or A1 Mini if you prefer printing over troubleshooting.

That would be a reasonable if they were in the same price range as this deal. $400-500 vs $100. I got into this hobby in part because a $100 printer was an option at the time.

Good for someone just looking to try 3D printing. I started with a ender 3 pro with the microcenter deal and learned so much. Great hobby during Covid. Now I have the A1 and would like Core XY soon but in reality A1 does a great job so hard to justify.

I picked up an ender from Facebook marketplace and have been having a blast getting into the hobby. I'm new but the learning curve isn't steep and I've been printing a bunch of toys and trinkets since I started.
Also stumbled across lithophane photo printing, that has been a blast and highly recommend you check it out!
