Getting an AC or any home series hardware off Temu makes me nervous as it will be a knock off or some farked up cheaply mislabeled machines or something that will break after a month and then you will never get any kind of replacement because the company that sold it to you was fake.
I have a 9000 or 12000 btu 110v costway one without wifi that i installed myself. I am a step or 2 above a handyman and a step or 2 below a licensed contractor.

Some negatives: I am assuming the remote is the thermostat and is around 6-7 degrees off. I live 30 minutes ne of atlanta. This thing will not keep up for heat in January. With that said, I live in a 900 sq A frame from the 70s with single pane windows. Lastly the 60 degree minimum kind of stinks. Because I think its trying to run more at 66.

Mine does not have wifi so I cant comment on that.

As far as the ac goes, its awesome. It costs almost nothing to make it feel like it should snow inside.

My guess is under $1 a day to keep it cold, more like $3 a day to keep it warm.

All of this assumes this is the same as the rebranded costway ones. Almost 2 full years and no issues.

Probably the same people you get to install it; if you can find anyone.

Else wise you install it yourself and throw it away when it breaks.

Though the listing says "Professional installation is required."

What kind of outside compressor do you need for 2 splits? One for each?

According to CSR, I need two compressors cause apparently they don't have one which serves 2 splits.

Dang. It is hspf 8.3. my electric provider gives 500 rebate per ton so the 2 ton would have been free. But only if hspf 8.5 or higher. Ohwell, next
The 12000 BTU 20 Seer2 model is hspf 8.5

Get two. Easier install for widely spaced units.

That's not how temu works. All of this stuff is US warehouses. It's same as Amazon except without rip off prices.

If it's comes in an Amazon box folks feel better about it 😁

I DIY installed the 12000 BTU model of this Yitahome brand mini heat pump in my garage after taking HOA approval and this thing is biting cold. Did not try the heater option during winters as I DIY insulated the garage door so more of room temperature upper 60s when outside was lower 40s. This comes with remote and wifi. It works awesome. It has turbo mode so the fan blower spins super fast. I got it for $450 in Oct 2024. Customer support is good. It uses R32 refrigerant not R410A. It's inverter model, so super silent even when am standing right next to it. Absolutely silent. My review is for 12000 BTU model and I am guessing this 18000 BTU will be on similar note.

I purchased a Ductless Mini Split for the ADU I was living in. It was installed by a guy who didn't know what he was doing so it leaked constantly. However, I am truly surprised by how powerful and effective these Mini Split AC's are. I don't know about this brand, but I bought mine for 800. This seems like a killer deal.
IF you don't have to create your own gutter to channel the water/leak into a 5 gallon bucket!

It is disposable. It costs a flat rate $200 for diagnostics around here so any repair..it is cheaper to replace. The hope is it lasts 6 years before it breaks.

It's more likely that a leak happens. And around here, it takes 50 or so to refill. Not big enough amount to replace the unit, but if the guy doesn't do a good job, it would be multiple of 50s.

I don't mean to steer you off this deal but check Ali**xpress for cheaper units. I just got (2) 9000btu, 110v, Rovsun for about $260 + tax/each, ship from US warehouse. I'm going to connect one with my off grid 12v solar system. At this price, buy at your own risk and DIY.
