Most displays have stereo sound, just use that!!!!
Heck DVD outsells Blu Ray & UHD combined for a reason!!!

Marantz Cinema 50 in Germany MSRP is 2000€

Denon 3800 in Germany MSRP is 1700€

Since the 4800 retails for 2600€ in Germany, do you still think the Cinema 50 is the "premium version of the 4800"?!!!

As I said in a prior post, only in the US would folks get duped into overpaying for Marantz equivalents!

People pay extra for things they believe in all the time.
As you can see, I'm not the one telling people what is "better".
I'm just giving my impression from actual comparison.
For me personal comparison is mandatory & most important.
If you choose to rely on reading, that's completely your prerogative!
I'm not trying to convince you to believe my belief, that would be silly!

I would agree.
I know 3 that took advantage of this in the past for the higher price of course, with zero issues so far.
Ironically they upgraded from prior Marantz units never needing the 5 year warranty!
I disagree there is no "good comparison" when it comes to what we hear, it's completely subjective.
Especially when you often have people going strictly on reading! 🤔
If BB had this new for $1050 as your pal turnne claimed(no luck here), I've likely would have upgraded my $1k 3800!
Remind me again why I would be "wrong" in doing that?

Just Google:
"This is the first time Marantz subtly/virtually/sort of/almost/vaguely, admitted the so called/claimed "Marantz sound" (presumably the warm sound) is due to the DAC filter, as it rolls off the high frequencies."
and go to post #1391!

Hmmm so I should go by reading and ignore personal comparison from listening! 🤔
$50 is "quite a bit of money"!🤔
I will admit a benefit of going by reading.
I could just get the Integra3.4 for $569 and just EQ it to sound like the Marantz!
That would definitely save someone "quite a bit of money"!
Unfortunately that's not for me, I'll just have to stick with my "wrong" opinion! 🤷🏻 ♂️
