I know it's 'different' but if you want nicer-than-drip coffee but don't want to pay hundreds, an older Nespresso Essenza uses the pods that are significantly cheaper, at about 25-30 cents per pod (even if you get the more eco friendly aluminum), its faster, and easier than a manual machine.
Pods are bad for the environment. No thanks

I have one. I dont think I would buy it again. It makes fine espresso but the cleaning process is burdensome

Disagree...we've had a 5000 model of this and it has been great. No pollution from K cups, good coffee from whole beans, different coffee options. Cleaning involves taking the brew unit out occasionally and rinsing it, running grinder cleaner occasionally, and maybe Des calling...not "burdensome"...1st World problems

I have the a Nespresso pods machine (Creatista Pro or whatever it's called), for 5-6 years now. I've come to realize that pods turn out to be much more expensive long term, even if you buy them at sales. I buy only aluminum ones, they are about 70c to $1.2 depending on what you get. Even at the lower end of that price spectrum, I would have recuperated the price of a bigger machine with grinder many times over in all these years.

I do think the pods are convenient and less of a hassle but turn out to be quite expensive over the ownership of the machine.

My friend made me a coffee from this and it wasn't hot enough. Otherwise seemed like a good machine

You can adjust the brew temp. At the hottest it's still not scalding hot if you're used to that, but IMO it's perfect for me.

This is a fully automatic machine. Aside from occasional cleaning, and daily dumping of grounds and water, it's not any different from a Nespresso, but it is cheaper in the long term and IMO produces better espresso based drinks.

Just for awareness, the 3200 is an older model; the newer model (3300) is on sale at amazon now for $549.

Bought this a few months ago for 550. We had it dialed in pretty quickly, mostly by making the grinder setting finer. Very happy with the results. We had the entry level delonghi before and that was fine too, but we like the Philips better - both for espresso and Americanos. Foamer works great.
