Unless you need it now I'd say wait for him to sell these via his ebay page to lock in that 2 year Allstate warranty. Broke my 3 yr old Secondipity refurbs earlier this year and got another pair a couple of months ago during the last Secondipity ebay deal for around this price. Looked brand new just like the pair I received 3 years ago.

Just started searching eBay and noticed there's other option. Are there fake one being produced just like Apple ? I never really search Sony products and listing are skeptical even with good feedback

I got my xm5's from secondpity about a year ago. LOVE THEM.

At the same time i also got the quietcomfort ultra and honestly the xm5's are so much better. Much better sound and i think they fit my ears much better (i got big ears). I chose the xm5's 90% of time.

Sales for the refurbished XM5 aren't that frequent and they tend to be around $199. Search Slickdeals to get an idea of the price history for brand new and refurbished. XM4s seem to go on sale for refurbished every other month or so but pricing varies. There was a unicorn deal for XM4s new for $129 from Amazon but not many were able to cash in on those.

I've had these XM4s for about 3 years and can absolutely recommend them. The battery life is still multi-day for me (I use them to take hours-long business meetings, and to listen to audio books while I garden/ general pc usage) and I have had no issues over the years. I originally purchased them when I was operating a commercial grow op and the heavy climate machinery and constant fan noise was so loud that I wanted to get a pair of noise cancelling headphones for a change.

Also, if you're married, these are great.
