- In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the 'one-armed wolf', a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
- Explore late 1500s Sengoku Japan, a brutal period of constant life and death conflict, as you come face to face with larger than life foes in a dark and twisted world. Unleash an arsenal of deadly prosthetic tools and powerful ninja abilities while you blend stealth, vertical traversal, and visceral head to head combat in a bloody confrontation.

Sekiro demands that you understand its combat. There really is no leveling out of a situation. You hit your head against a wall til you win.
Nioh allowed you to cheese encounters for very strong loot. Sekiro has one weapon and some gadgets to play with.
Don't let that deter you though. The game is a masterpiece and extremely satisfying. If you hit a wall, those items can be extremely helpful. You just need to figure out how to use them best by looking at a video or something.

It's always interesting who finds which games hard. For me, this game was cake walk. People make it way harder than it needs to be, because they play too defensively. Running in and putting the smackdown on bosses is often significantly easier than getting a couple hits and backing off. Just overwhelm them. The only one I had real trouble with was the secret boss — The Demon of Hatred. I lost count of my deaths on that one at 50. Other people slam right through him. I found Nioh 1 to be much harder than this. Then I found Nioh 2 to be relatively easy. I usually beat missions in that game while being 10 levels below the recommended level.
