I got a four pack the last time this was offered. I found these to be a bit hit or miss. Two were fine, nice colors, changing, on dark, off light. One was stuck in the yellow color and would not change no matter what I tried. The last one stayed on even when I put it in the sunshine coming in the house. So, a 50% rate for me, I wouldn't order again, but the two are OK. I did comment to Amazon on these two defective ones, but no response from them.

bought about 8 of these so far within the last 6 months and been using them around the house as a passive lighting since i work from home on a graveyard shift and usually up at night. the only issue i've seen so far was a single product making a noise when you shake it but still worked like normal.

i just wish you could sync multiple ones so they could be on a rhythm.

Got a new bed for the kid that has an outlet on top of the headboard. How bright is this, would it be too bright being above the bed?

You can adjust the brightness on them. Also, you can have just one color that is not very bright like the red, blue or green.

I also got 4 from last time. They all work for my limited use. I would like to think since their GE's they won't burn my house down. There's lot of different no name brands of plug in lights.

I just use the basic white light and because of my particular set up one or two of them don't turn off because they don't get enough light. The light sensor is on the opposite end of the light. For example, if you want or need the light on the top, the light sensor is pointed toward the floor and therefore takes more ambient light for it to shut off. They only draw a watt or two so I'm not worried about power wasted. Electricity here is relatively cheap.

You mentioned relatively cheap power where you live? Can I enquire as to the general area. I'm in SoCal paying a $317 monthly electric bill for my 1 bedroom apartment.

This is so pretty... people wear blue-blockers at night, but have their wifi blasting still, negating any frequency correction so too, I guess it does not matter that the frequencies are not aligned with biological rhythms (such as darkness or red light for melatonin production). I just want everyone to be happy and that only happens when all of our needs are met, most fundamentally, our natural wireless ! I may get this though, as it is just too cute and for now, still need a real solution to this false light beyond blue-blockers (although, I should try them again at least at night when color definition is not so important.)

fyi, that brand was bought by the Chinese probably a decade ago. Its not the "GE" you think it is. I'm sure your house will be fine, regardless.

I really don't know much about the subject but it appears my state avg kilowatt hour is 16 cents while CA is 32 cents. For a 1 (or few) watt light it's not going to matter much, I don't think. Something like air conditioning is where its going to really matter.

The state averages also don't take into account population so electricity costs per capita is probably a more meaningful number. For example, California has nearly the highest electricity rates while apparently North Dakota has the lowest. ND has about 800,000 people while California has 40 million. A lot more Americans are paying around 30 cents kWh than are paying about 10 cents kWh.

Right. Do you think UL listed is relevant?

I'm being charged 74 - 93 cents. Our city signed everyone up to buy our power from an alleged green power source. This doubles the price of the electric bill. I'm not sure too many states that have implemented this. But it's prevalent AF here in SoCal.
