None available for me in any category. Also... not usb-c power, requires brick with barrel plug. not touchscreen and 60hz. Full size SD is kinda weird in 2025. 4.2 pounds, not exactly light. And I'd rather have Ryzen over Intel. STILL, if you can get one, the specs aren't terrible if you have some available near you. At least it's the full power 95w 3050.

The product page on Asus's site says "up to 16gb", so I'm assuming soldered, no upgrade.

Does Best Buy still ship between stores at least in their region? I remember a few years ago I was able to go into my local Best Buy and if another bb store had a clearance/open box item they could transfer to my local store for me to buy. Is that still likely at a store?

Fyi, ASUS has not been honoring manufacturer warranty on open box items.
It used to be full manufacturer warranty was included on all BestBuy open box items.

This issue seems to be only with ASUS, other manufacturers have been honoring their warranty's in full as they should.

BestBuy has not been helpful in resolving the issue and yet they still portray open box items as having the manufacturer warranty's.

I am gonna say no. That's why they have item/store locator now and tell you there's one/nothing within 200 miles of you.

When things don't work anymore you dispose it and then get a new one right? Like when dvd, car, tv, vacuum or even remote breaks down, you recycle/sell/trade it in for a new one. "I don't have time for…" is a thing.

Not gonna invest money in a 6+ year old laptop. If it's that important to you, you can purchase the dead one from me!

Wouldn't hurt to ask them, if you could actually call and connect to a local store which you can't anymore because they connect you to a national call center. So you'd probably have to ask in store.

I purchased this laptop last time. While it's a good device overall, I faced issues with the WiFi connection and Windows activation right out of the box. The WiFi wouldn't work, and Windows wasn't activated. I didn't want to return it. I solved the issues by using a wired connection to update the system and then activated Windows using my own license key.

I think all of the Intel Ultra chips come with LPDDR5+, and none of that is removable/upgradable.

Barrel plugs need to go away forever.
