Depends on your laptop.

USB-C is just the physical connector, but protocols like USB4 can also tunnel other protocols like hdmi and DP.

This product mentions hdmi with display port alternative mode, tho it still depends on your transmitting device's own specifications.

This is a USB-C TO HDMI, not the other way around. I clicked thinking I could use this with my iPhone lightening to HDMI adapter to output video to my xreal glasses which take alt mode DisplayPort input via USB-C., but the conversion is going in the wrong direction for this adapter…. Please correct your post, OP.
