That sucker must be heavy.

If you need a battery its like buying a battery and getting the blower for free or really cheap.

I have this blower, not very heavy (compared to others) and especially easy to manage with a shoulder strap.

My wife said it's heavy, and I agree with her.

Costco sale just ended for this model but their kit comes with a 4ah battery, which is the way to go in my opinion. I believe it was $220 if I'm not mistaken. I would've bought it but I just picked up the DeWalt 700CFM a few months ago and I have a few flexvolt batteries already. Would love an 800CFM blower for drying my car though. Might pick up the GW from Costco if goes on sale again later this year.

This unit only has a 90-day warranty and does not come with the shoulder strap. See the Costco link for a similar unit with a 4ah battery, strap, flat nozzle, and full 4 year warranty.

It's also $90 more and for Costco members. I'd rather buy a shoulder strap and second battery off eBay with the $90. It's better to have two smaller batteries than one larger one, so you can charge one while using the other…

Sounds like that makes sense for you. Others might be more comfortable knowing they have a 4 year warranty and easy Costco returns. While unlikely, the blower, battery, or charger could fail at the 6 month mark, leaving you with no warranty replacement. There are some reviews on the Greenworks site that mention the heavy weight and battery and blower failures. Someone who finds value in the warranty, shoulder strap, nozzle, and 4ah battery should consider the Costco option.

Btw, I run an older 60v Greenworks blower model with a 4ah battery and it has never needed a charge during a cleanup on a small/med size lawn/driveway.

I have 40v GW stuff. The 3rd party batteries are crap, with inflated specs.

Not sure if it's any different in the 80v system. But if you're considering cheaper batteries approach the idea with caution.

I had it and it got bricked in 2months, Its a shit blower and it screams like someone is stuck inside. I'd suggest buying EGO blowers.

I have this exact blower and it isn't much louder than my other 80v Kobalt with lower CFM. I've had my Kobalt (working great) for several years and it's made by GW, so yours supposedly "getting bricked" in two months sounds suspect…

It's a pixie. On the back of the unit is a pixie release switch, press it and it grants you a wish for setting it free.

127.5 if you use the code in a recent SD about another GW blower. Worked for me a few days ago
