$30 for a skil battery and charger might as well get that. The skill batteries are great too for charging phones, fast charging through the usb-c port.
You can buy a battery from Lowe's for an additional $29: https://www.lowes.com/pd/SKIL-PWR...501521592
Truly impressive form factor that's for sure.

Voltage (40V) is too high.
Bought this today. Had 5 2ah batteries from the black Friday holiday sales. Bought primarily as a bike pump. All my bikes have Presta valves, so the adapter is a bit aggravating but once in place the pump works great.
Highly recommend

No, the DeWALT DCC020IB inflator includes the 12V auto/lighter plug in a special compartment. They don't include an AC adapter but it's just a 10A 13.8v DC power supply. You could connect the included lighter plug to any 12v~13.8b 10A+ PSU for the same result. If the Skil has a 12v plug after all it should be just as flexible.

You brought up DeWALT's and others with their associated battery ecosystems as an example of "every other inflator in this category" requiring the battery. DeWALT 12V Max line does not have an inflator, so you could only be talking about their 20V Max inflator… which does not require the battery. It includes the cigarette lighter jack plug in a small compartment and they also sell an AC adapter for it. That AC adapter plugs into the same place as the 12V lighter cord so I'd just supply my own generic 10A 12~13.8V AC adapter if I needed that.
My only point was that this was not entirely correct about them all forcing a battery line on you and I wonder if we are even sure the Skil doesn't have a 12V plug. I haven't looked into it but if we were wrong in our assumptions about the DeWALT we could be wrong about the Skil in the same way.
