In days past, this would have been a screaming deal. Now with the M4 Mac Mini, this is overpriced. I can hardly believe it, but here we are.

It's odd how much pricing on older mac minis have retained so much value compared to the M4s prices.

These macs are just incredibly overpriced. There isn't enough software to utilize the performance and most high-end tasks/gaming is still done on Windows. There is too little value here when Apple does not even guarantee updates. Worse is their inevitable App Store lock-in. The ecosystem isn't worth the buy-in.

I don't think anyone is really buying these old ones. There must be pretty decent stock levels of older hardware that's financially a total loss. I'm sure they only posting these so-called "deals" in hopes that someone unknowingly bites, so they get something for some of their old stock.

I've seen deals for the base M4 mini hitting as low as $480. It's redefining that entry level point.
