Because it keeps selling out. Once a thread has been reported and labeled expired, it's get more engagement from the community to post a new thread... That doesn't mean it can't be done - expired thread routinely get revived, but it's not a mandate.
Because it sells out almost immediately. I had to wait a week to get it because of stock issues.

Reviewers all say the biggest difference is low light and the replaceable lens for the x5 compared to x4.
Unless you shoot a lot of video in low light conditions. It's not worth it. X4 is still an excellent camera. I shoot mostly in 4K 60fps for file size management. Wait for X6 if they release new model every year going forward.
