I bought this tablet on Aliexpress a month ago for $220 (its called a Xiaoxin pad pro 2025 there). Its been an amazing tablet. its kinda big but plays games really well the GPU in it is very powerful. the dimensity 8300 is the MediaTek equivalent of snapdragon 8 gen 1 for those wondering. So think older flagship performance.

Lenovo is only good for ThinkPad, nothing much else.. There is a reason apple owns the tablet market, and I don't even have a single apple device but credit where it's due, they got the tablet business covered. When grand parents go, we need a tablet to browse and email and look at pictures, I would never recommend some random cheap Samsung or Lenovo android tablet.. Just go grab 250-300 iPad, no headaches for 5+ years.
We got my mom a ipad... she joined a book club, she bought her books from the Apple store. The average price of each book was about $20 MORE EXPENSIVE then Amazon the the play store. My mom like most mom's can not afford to waste money.
Lenovo is the company that came out with the Legion 8.8" Android tablet... that is pretty impressive. They are just starting to try to become a player... Samsung will lose market share.
Apple iPads dominate with a significantly larger market share than Android tablets. While Android tablets are present, Apple's iOS-powered iPads are the leading operating system for tablets in the US. YES Apple ipads are AMAZING, best value, excellent build, etc... BUT BUT BUT.... Android has better popup blockers, I can access piratebay, I can install paywall bypass extensions to my browser, I can get free unlimited youtube, etc.... If I was a straight arrow, I would have a ipad

Most people are "straight arrows". The Lenovo tablet won't change anything, it's not a household name.

Aliexpress seems have lower price (-$70) for the same model, according to some comments. But be catious when you buy anything from Aliexpress, if you did not receive your package due to any reason (lost in transit, delivered to someone's else mailbox/frontdoor, etc.), Aliexpress needs you to provide a valid Proof from USPS stating that "package was lost and we cannot locate your package" -- Aliexpress.com has two example letters of what a USPS proof letter looks like on their website. However, USPS will never provide such a proof. They can start investigating, every ~1 month, they will send an email saying they are still tyring their best to locate your package, but 6 months later, they tell you that basically it's your fault (they are not accountable). They will never provide the statement that "your package was lost", and they never provide such a proof letter. Aliexpress will not refund you in this case. Note that provide the USPS emails to Aliexpress that you have opened a case for investigation is not enough, according to multiple Aliexpress customer service person (phone, email) I was dealing with, they have to see such a proof letter, and they are super firm on this.

This happend to me in 2024 when I bought some electronics on Aliexpress.com, luckily it costs me only around $57. It is a nightmare dealing with Aliexpress customer service, going back and forth between USPS customer service and Aliexpress for about a week. At the end, I am quite surprised to see Aliexpress disabled the button to reach to customer service for that order. I decided to eat the cost myself rather than wasting more time on it. And I decided never buy anything $30+ from Ali ever again. So be catious.

I looked into this. Other than what is stated below, what's the difference between the CN version ($232-$327, 8gb-16gb RAM, 256Gb-1TB, keyboard & pen not included) and the global version ($527+$37 shipping, 12gb RAM, 256gb, include keyboard and pen)? The seller of the CN doesn't seems legit. Did you purchase from this seller?
EDIT: CN ROM is the version to go with per reddit and a post here. However, this tablet is going for between $500 to $700 from legit seller on Ali and eBay.

It comes with cn rom. But after change language to English it works perfectly fine for me as Google is already built-in. I bot it back to last bf when $50 cpn was available...guess current high price is just result of trump tariff

I am thinking of getting P12 or Idea Pad Pro. They are around $300 now. Your message just reminded me the previous experience with Lenovo cell phone, Lenovo Chromebook and Lenovo small tablet. They fall behind with OS upgrade and my devices became so slow and they had to retire earlier.
My Lenovo Chromebook stops responding randomly and I have to restart it.
On the other hand, Samsung charges $800 or more for the S / Ultra series tablet. It is crazy.
If I win the lottery, I will buy a $1000 Samsung tablet.

I thought I can spend $300 to get a better tablet but I guess I just save myself the trouble for now.

Just learning about this. So you guys are playing PC games, mirroring the display to a tablet/TV stick with this Apollo/moonlight/artemis thing? Is your controller connected to the client (tablet/TV box) or is it still wireless connected to the PC through a couple of walls?
Controller is connected to the tablet.

Not exactly...When there is an OFFICAL Global ROM then you get an unopened package. It is NOT recommended that you buy a global ROM anything UNLESS it is OFFICIAL.It is recommended that you do buy the CHINESE ROM (comes in English and Chinese). There is a really good Reddit page that disuses Chinese ROM VS Global ROM.ALSO, Don't expect any updates if you buy a "cheap" tablet such as a tablet from Telcast or Alldocube or Headwolf. By the way, I love these CHEAP tablets... zero bloatware and it just works, just don't do any banking or purchasing on it. But if you are buying a high end model I am sure you will get appropriate updates.
I assumed the Global Rom was on the relabeled Idea Tab Pros when it was in a sealed package. To get a Global Rom on a XiaoXin you have to open the box. I'd go for the XiaoXin and would get the Chinese ROM.
