Perfect for sous vide steak charring at the edge of my garage on a rainy day. I've been looking for a cheap torch that's got a bigger flame than my basic plumber torch for years now, not an exaggeration.

This offer matches a previous Front Page deal that earned 24+ thumbs up — and it didn't last long once it hit FP.

It can, not really the highest btu or most concentrated flame though. Much better off with a ts8000 or something. Much more focused flame.

Hmmm one of the amazon reviews says "U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has informed us that the product listed may not meet current mandatory or voluntary safety standards."

Im assuming because you dont need to pull a trigger to release gas after the valve is opened, it just flows freely while you try and light for a minute

How does this compare to the Su-V gun I see most social media cooks use? Pretty much the same thing? And is there any torch taste that I seem to get when using a normal Bernzomatic?
