You're taking the cat in this thread too seriously.
How else are you supposed to take your cat to the vet or evacuate with them, etc?
I agree. When taking the cat to the vet, toss it loose in the car so it can pee all over the interior, then jump on your face, causing an accident. And then when you open the door to get out, it gets to run free in an unfamiliar area and possibly get hit by a car. But at least it'll have a "view". Makes much more sense than using a carrier.

Correction: Dog carrier.

Don't do this to me cat. It makes you a very bad human.

Why do you think you shouldn't use this for cats?

Attempting to put cat in box may result in scratches and blood loss for human. Not good idea. Cat doesn't like being trapped in box.

OK for general loafing.

I have one of these and it is great. just open the top flap and drop the cat in and off to the vet. This carrier is much easier to use than the hard plastic carriers with only one small entrance on the side.
It's lightweight and easy to clean also.

Sure, just grab the cat, shove her in a box, jossle her around in a bumpy car with no view, then the evil needle torturing human.

I wish there were giant cats around to treat humans with such indignity and contempt.

How do you take your cat from place A to B (vet, another house for so someone can watch them when you are on vacation, transporting during emergencies, etc), ask the cat nicely to call their own UberX?

And yes, if you simply shove a cat in a box they get rather upset, if you condition / train them a carrier is not a bad thing many times they'll go in their willingly (for example leave the carrier accessible randomly and they will frequently use it to sleep on their own. Carrier should be clean, not full of smells from other houses, and so on). I for one have transported my old 23lb Maine Coon (RIP Miko) countless places in a carrier and he couldn't have been more agreeable. He was also the experienced RV'er, visited many pet friendly hotels, and did quite well outside of a carrier during long car trips. Somehow we managed the situation with most of our blood still inside of us....not all of it, but most Wink

FWIW, this carrier looks pretty small and the AI generated images with a cat inside appear to be every misleading. My guess this would be decent up to a 15lb cat, 33lbs seems far fetched.
