Not really...perhaps the Wi Fi issues are
This happens to my U8H on a semi regular basis and it will show a banner that says "Wi-fi connected" 5-7 minutes into what ever you are watching
This is after the banner when you turn it on that says " wi fi disconnected"

The U8N on the other has CEC control and E-arc issues
Occasionally it will just stop performing...Turn it off and then off again and then it works just fine

Both of them have the latest updates
Both of these are bedrooms

I also own both a Samsung QN90C and QN90A and neither had had any of these issues that the Hisense U8's have had

My point...these Hisense U8's are great TV's for the money, especially if you watch a lot of 4K content and dont need them to do much picture processing
However...dont have Samsung or Sony expectations in their operation
I had a Hisense U75H and e-arc issues were sometimes downright infuriating. Nothing even remotely similar on my Sony X90K.

im trying to decide on Mini LED or OLED

I am going to be sitting on a bean bag on the floor and worried about diminished color/contrast because of VA viewing angles

So is this one supposed to be somehow at least 50% better in quality or something over the 85" TCL Q7?Seems like 85" is the in size now, and I need it... but is paying extra $500 worth it?_____________________TCL 85" Q7 QLED (2024) $999.99- QLED panel, basic Full Array Local Dimming- 120Hz refresh, Google TV- 1,000 nits brightness- Basic HDR10 support (if i watch stuff that has HDR)Hisense 85" U8 Mini-LED (2024) $1,499.96- Mini-LED panel with high dimming zone count- 144Hz refresh, Google TV- 3000+ nits brightness for top-tier HDR impact- Supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and high brightness HDR contentHisense is also competes with Samsung and Sony's $3K+ models for half the price. The $500 gap feels justified with the performance jump, especially for bright rooms, dark scenes, and HDR content like streaming movies on Netflix, Disney+, etc.Is there something I'm missing that makes the TCL better value besides the price alone?Or is this $300 delivery cost for real, they dont have free shipping?
I really missed the 75 inches deal early this week, I was about to go to best buy but the deal was over before I went

I think the best bet is going to best buy and try to view both types and judge for your self.
