It's crazy that w 5kw generator doesn't do 240v.

It easily could but I'm sure the manufacturer would have all sorts of issues with idiots trying to hook up to it correctly

im not sure why you would say that. plenty of generators have 240v plugs.

I would think it'd be already pre wired internally from the manufacturer, No? Yeah I can see problems if people had to rewire their own 120 gens to 240.
