It's unlikely to make a meaningful difference.
This is a low end brand. It's nowhere near the same tier as Samsung or Crucial.
The pSLC cache helps write speeds. DRAM stores a copy of the mapping table (FTL). It is most helpful for random reads. That said, it's unlikely to make a meaningful difference to most users.
All that being said, I'm NOT knocking your choice to spend $30 or $50 for a drive you suspect to be more reliable. Your time is valuable, as is the piece of mind that comes with buying equipment that is less likely break. So this isn't an argument for or against this deal. I just wanted to clarify for everyone that when it comes to safeguarding data, it starts with planning and redundancy.

Everyone has to make their own decisions. I've tried to lay out the facts as best I can, as well as giving my opinion. Personally, if I was looking to buy a drive like this, I'd almost certainly elect to spend the extra $6 on the Team Group MP44L.
