From what I've seen online this set usually goes for $300+ and has good reviews, plus it's softside vs the hardshell which some people prefer

Can't speak to this brand quality or price, but grey soft side luggage will look filthy after a few trips.

Bugatti is sold at Kohls? So in other words, not good quality. Basically Ross level luggage. Hope no one actually think these were ever sold for $900+. Maybe if you travel 1-2 times a year, but anything more than that, get some real quality luggage. Actually even if you travel just once a year, get some real luggage (and go and travel more, these are memories that are invaluable and will make you a better and more cultured person).

Aka Costco. If the manufacturer refuses to fix basic things that shouldn't have broken, Costco has your back. I just picked up a couple sets of Samsonite Blackstone for 150 per pair

So you are going to be that guy that brings back used luggage a year later because of a broken zipper? For me, I actually want Costco to stay in business and would rather not abuse their policy. Plus, you do it enough, they will flag you. I know someone it has happened to.

It is quite literally their policy for a reason. If a brand or specific model keeps getting returned, they'll stop selling it. Costco doesn't like to sell garbage, non durable items. Employees tell you to bring it back too. It is absolutely not abusing the policy.

What is abusing the policy is returning a couch 10 years later because you wanted a different one

OK so like I said in my example. You don't think bringing back a used luggage for 1-2 years because the zipper broke is abusing the policy? This is a realistic example and has a good chance of happening. It's happened to many luggages that I use to buy from Ross before I invested in quality luggages. The quality luggages that I have now with REAL no questions asked lifetime warranty will fix those broken zippers no questions asked for free among any other issues. These cheap luggages even from Costco aren't designed to last more than 1-2 years. Sure they can, if if they don't, it's unrealistic to think that Costco is happy about you returning them 1-2 years later. Tell me this. If you return a light bulb that burnt out after using it for 2 years, is that abusing the policy? Or is it because it's sold by Costco, you expect it to last forever?

Uh that's why you pay for a membership - for perks like this. Costco isn't a non-profit you should be supporting hoping it stays around. It's not a mom and pop place down the street. They charge you a membership price for exact reasons like this.
