Last time the PS5 version was on sale for $39.99 I bought a used one from here and the disc was damaged and couldn't the game couldn't be installed.

"Condition: Used - Acceptable
Moderate cosmetic damage on bottom or back of the item. Packaging shows minimal signs of wear, consistent with being opened."
I guess I'll settle for $39.99 for new...

Kind of doubt it. Square Enix doesn't like to discount franchises like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy more than a maximum of around 50% off or so. The exception that I could see bucking that trend might be some random clearance one day somewhere.
