IIRC the knives with the single man are globally sourced, while the Zwilling or 'twins' knives are made in Germany. These are printed 'German steel Made in China' on the blade.

I find that it does help keep an edge slightly but does a worse job than just having a honing steel

Correct, zoom in on the first picture of the knife, and it shows as made in China from German steel

I just bought a whetstone and said to hell with it. Bought on and get to keep my knives pretty sharp

Yes. That's right. Avoid single silhouette knives unless on really really cheap deal. Double silhouette ones are supposed to be better.

Buyer beware, these are stamped knives, not forged. Henckels is being tricky with this one. The product name is "Forged Accent" but the description specs indicate they're stamped. More than a little misleading when one of the first questions someone would ask is, "are these forged or stamped?" I'd say these are overpriced, very not slick.
