Edit: See my reply. While I think the price could be lower, there are not many options for travel routers. With reduced competition, prices stay higher. This is generally regarded as the best WiFi 6 travel router.
This needs to be $50 at this point, passed on it last year at $75.

Other people don't care about that and can look at that as an option. If you don't need a travel router, there are many other options.
first, you can buy the wifi with the phone,
then I see 2 options:
1. use the USB cable to tether & share the wifi through this router
2. clone the mac address of your phone, and use router to connect to the plane's wifi and share it

but the best use case for me is to use the same network name as one i use at home, so when arrive a location, you just have one router to setup and all your device will connect as if you are at home.

Nothing to be sorry about. This is an excellent travel router. I set it up on all my devices. Once I'm in the hotel I just need to connect it to the hotel wifi and all my devices are connected. On a cruise I purchase 1 Wi-Fi and all the devices in the room can use it.
I got the tplink one two weeks ago. Seems to be good and it's cheaper considering the point cash back
this one has been fantastic.
