This is actually not a good card for a dashcam. An "endurance" card is what is needed.
The 512GB Pro Plus deal with a USB-A adapter for $28.50 a week ago was a better deal. This seems to be a normal price nowadays.

This card is usually around $45-$50. It dropped to $32 once in the last year, never less than that per CCC. I've been watching it every day for a few months now because I need 2 for my dashcams. This is a great deal and the lowest price it has been within at least the last the last year per the triple-camel website.

I understand that endurance cards are supposed to be better for enduring a greater number of write cycles than "normal" cards like this, but I've only used "normal" cards like this (and it's predecesor which was green, and it's predecesor which was black and white) in all my dashcams, some since 2017, and none of my cards have failed or had any issues yet. I'd imagine an endurance card would last even longer than these but I've found that they are not mandatory for a dashcam based on my experience from 8 years of real world data collection from my 4 dashcams being used at least 5 days a week each. A lot of people just parrot that information that "you should only use an endurance card in a dashcam" because it sounds logical, and it is, but most people fail to understand that just because enurance cards are better, IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT REGULAR CARDS ARE BAD OR WON'T ALSO WORK WELL, and I've proven that with a pretty good sample size for just a single household to collect over an 8 year period.

Bought this back on March 20, 2024 for same price.
Using it in my Samsung S20 FE for storage, very fast and reliable over a year.

Would this be a good card for a Nintendo Switch 2?

Don't think this would work for Switch 2 since Nintendo states MicroSD Express is needed

No, Switch2 uses MicroSd EXPRESS, which is an entirely new format (the Express is not a brand like "Pro" or "extreme" or whatever, it is an entirely different architecture that is not backwards compatible)

On this link there is also a new generation card for $5 more at $34.99. The accompanying description states 160 mb vs 130mb. The 130mb is the one this SD deal refers to. But the pictures of the cards are identical… What am I missing? Thanks!

Heads up on these. Bought two of these and upon opening the first package, the sd card was split diagonally in half, I thought I may have been too rough opening the package. I opened the shipping box where the second sd card was packed and I could visibly see the card split in half, diagonally, in the unopened packaging. These might have manufacturing defects, check your card before opening the package.

Mine was DOA. Both my computer and camera won't detect it.

2 years ago there was a massive glut of NAND. Prices in the last year have been nowhere near as good.
