USB ports typically supply a voltage of 5 volts so I wouldn't bother buying it

There's another listing for a USB powered fan in the "You might also like" for $7. Walmart sells one for $5 or so.

Mostly positive reviews even after factoring out the Vine reviews. Cord is not detachable though. Also some complaints about the blades being too large and hitting the grill.

I could see this being attached to a wall with a 3M Command strip, and paired with a USB on/off toggle switch. It's only 10oz, so a Command strip would keep it on the wall pretty firm, and connect the USB on/off switch to your computer monitor or an outlet or surge protector with USB, and attach the fan to the toggle. It would allow easy access to turn on/off the fan, plus don't have to waste desk space. However, since the fan speed is adjusted electronically, I don't know if the fan turns on full blast, or the lowest setting.
