Saw this…if you're in the market right now for one it's a solid price to go in at. I'm not in a huge need for one at the moment and this isn't a "buy and stash" type deal. But if you've been waiting for a deal on the roam 2 to add to your Sonos ecosystem I would give you the green light here. Also open box excellent condition is down around $115 I believe.

You can get the Roam 2 with a free Otterbox case on the Sonos site for the same price.

Even with all the problems that Sonos had, I'm a fan of their products. I've been pretty happy with everything I've had from them except for the Roam. It doesn't sound good at all for its price point if you compare it to UE, JBL, etc. if you're willing to pay a lot more and if the Move fits your "portable" need as a wayyyyy larger speaker, that is a much better product.

I've got seven Sonos speakers throughout the house and they are great. Guests are always surprised with the sound quality and that it's not coming from a larger, more costly setup. That said, the Roam feels too expensive for what it offers. I'd like to see this priced around $99…though…I'm sure I'll cave at some point and get one.

I've had Sonos speakers since 2011 ... and after that have owned many versions, sold them and upgraded. Currently I have and Arc and surround speakers, a couple of Play 5 around the house. I have my Technics 1200 MK2 turntable hooked up to one of the Play 5 so I can listen to vinyl all over the house. I even have a couple of Ikea book speakers up above the kitchen cabinets for ambient music. It has the best fidelity and ecosystem of anything out there. If you're not a music geek ... then yeah, get a regular Bose, Amazon or Apple speaker and that will make you happy. Those of use that listen to music like religion ... prefer Sonos for a wireless music system.

This pushed me over the edge. I am heavy into the Sonos world and was thinking about a Roam for my bathroom and travel. I like the idea of a case on it for when I'm traveling.

To some people, Sonos is a great product line. Not for me. I have this unit in white.
The bass is deep, but overall sounds muffled as if someone put a towel over the speakers. The app and the power on/off, setup process is not easy - it is not the simple plug and play you expect it to be. Maybe it's my fault getting older, but overall, it's quite complicated for the average user in my opinion. These speakers should be less than 50 bucks at most.

I know the Roam V1 was notorious for battery issues, anyone know how well the batteries hold up on this V2 version? Since this is also a wifi speaker I'd love to be able to leave this plugged in all the time for easy casting, but if doing that means the battery life will be toast in a year's time then IMO there's no point getting this vs buying a play1 on sale and having a separate portable BT speaker.

Great deal for the Sonos, but I believe my UE Boom sounds better. I have a set of the Sonos 1s and no comparison with UE there, but the Roam just doesn't have the same punch or range, especially outdoors. The battery doesn't last as either. It's just an opinion- The Roam 2 is a good speaker and this is a good deal if you are Sonos person.
