This is a good deal. I had $240 in Amazon gift cards so got it out the door for $129. I was going to wire in in-wall speakers into my garage with a Sonos Amp, but decided to try this instead and save the effort, and have the added flexibility of taking it on the go. Found a used Move 1 for $180 the other day but the 24 hour battery life and other small upgrades on this one had me wanting the Move 2 more.
I got mine last night with same day delivery from Amazon and set it up. This thing rocks, I certainly wouldn't say it sucks. Gets plenty loud and has nice full, clear sound from lows to highs. I plan to do some comparisons with one of my Era 100s soon, but I honestly think I will use this thing quite a bit both at home and on the go.
I always take the 1 star Sonos reviews with a grain of salt. A lot of people want to hate on Sonos because of the price of their products, and the issues they've had with their app lately. I no longer have any issues with the app, and find the products sound good and just work, and are easy enough for my little kids to use and control with Alexa even for my whole home audio system with 20 built in speakers managed by Sonos Connects. I don't find this speaker too heavy, and I actually really like the large handle on the back that makes carrying it around very easy. I will mostly be using this in my garage and taking on the go to my front yard or the park nearby so weight is certainly not a concern for me. Connectivity so far is not a problem either. Push the button on the back and easily switch from wifi to bluetooth. 24 hours battery life compared to 11 on the Move 1 is a pretty significant bump. And if you take the Move 2 battery and add it to a Move 1, you only bump the battery life by like 30% (Sonos's website says exactly, but it doesn't make it anywhere near 24 hours).
Does the move 2 have Google assistant capabilities? Our Move 1 is great, and also acts as our house automation device. I read somewhere that the move 2 lacks this feature?
Yes, the Move 2 does not have Google assistant. It replaces it with Sonos's own voice assistant like the Era 100 and other newer speakers. If you need the Google assistant, stick with the Move 1.
Love mine. I'll bring two outside when entertaining on the patio and pair them in stereo. Sounds great when solo, but fantastic when paired in stereo. Great battery life too

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank jclau00
mainly two things:
- way too heavy for what it is
- hard to connect using BLE, this might been resolved with the version 2 but the version 1 is horrible at this
